Antique Fair

Antique market in Arezzo, exchange and sale of items at one time

Since 1968 on the first Sundays of every month and on the preceding Saturdays there has been taking place the Antique Dealers’ Fair in the very centre of the medieval town, from Piazza Grande (Large Square) to the ancient streets of the sorrounding area: antique trade, collecting, jewelry, art crafts in more than 10.000 square meter surface. Established in 1968 by the antique dealer Ivan Bruschi, it has been the first antique Exhibition to take place in a regular cadence (it has never missed its monthly appointments) and a lasting success in an exclusive scenery: the medieval centre of Arezzo. Nowadays the exhibitors coming from all over Italy are more than 500; they offer with their objects a broad general view of cultural traditions and regional costumes, an endless source for small and great collectors.
Thanks to the success of this open air exhibition, the very shops of antique dealers in the town are increased and now are more than an hundred: a great increasement if we think in 1968 the antique dealers were at maximum fifteen. Just as in the Antique Fair you can find here pieces of furniture, paintings and objects, very different one another not only for period but also for quality. They are mixed all together, so that the visitor can enjoy the taste of discovering. There are available also shops of collectors and researchers, selling selected pieces, for example shops specialized in Nineteenth or Twentieth century paintings, ancient books, scientific equipment, classic archeology, Art Nouveau stained-glass windows or doors, engravings, art-decò objects, vintage, silversmiths, modern antique collectings, watches and clocks, jewels.
In the same period of the Antique Fair there take place many collateral events: antique shows, exhibitions and expositions taking many other qualified exhibitors to propose their pieces in prestigious galleries. Summarizing, at Arezzo Antiques Fair the offering is very diversified so that it can satisfy the most demanding collectors and art conoisseurs.

The time of the Antique Fair is as follows: 8.00 to 20.00 Friday, Saturday and Sunday
The date is always the 1st Sunday of every month
